Over 60 Years of Engineering South Africa’s Industrial Future

We haven’t just been building infrastructure for over 60 years; we’ve been powering South Africa’s progress. Our legacy was forged in the heart of the nation’s power generation fleet, where we fabricated the boilers for the iconic stations that built the national grid. This foundational experience gives us an unparalleled, intrinsic understanding of the assets we service today.

But experience is only half the story. True industry leadership requires constant evolution. We’ve broadened our expertise into complex industrial sectors, integrated global best practices by joining the Bilfinger Group, and pioneered the use of advanced drone technology for safer, faster inspections. We haven’t just relied on our history; we’ve built on it.

Today, that commitment is demonstrated in proven results. It’s in our landmark safety record of 2 million LTI-free hours. in our investment of R10.5 million into local communities and skills development. It’s in every project we deliver with a culture of zero harm and operational excellence.

Our history isn’t just our story – it’s our promise to deliver unparalleled reliability, innovation, and value.

Leading with Purpose

Today, our legacy is the foundation for our future. This decade is characterised by proven performance, technological leadership, and a profound commitment to our people and communities.

Safety as a Culture

We have achieved landmark safety records, including 2 million hours without a Lost Time Injury (LTI) at Kendal Power Station (2022-2025) and 1 million RCR-free hours at both Kriel and Majuba.

Technological Leadership

We continue to pioneer new methods, from our advanced Elios 3 inspection drones with 3D mapping capabilities to a unique, qualified explosive plugging process that extends the life of critical assets.

Community Commitment

We invest significantly in social upliftment, dedicating R10.5 million to Corporate Social Investment (CSI) in 2024 and expanding our TRAC programme to support over 2 400 learners in science and mathematics.

Skills Development

We are building the next generation of artisans through our Red Seal apprentice programmes and sharing our institutional knowledge via our CPD-accredited Boiler Technology Course.

Our Legacy: Six Decades of Progress

1960s
The Foundation: Founded in 1962, we immediately began building South Africa’s power grid.
Building the Nation: We fabricated the core of the national grid, building iconic power stations and investing in local manufacturing.
1970s & 1980s
1990s
Diversification: We diversified beyond utilities, applying our expertise to new industrial challenges.
A New Era of Service: We joined the global Bilfinger Group and led Eskom’s critical “Return-to-Service” programmes.
2000s
2010s
Innovation & Recognition: Defined by innovation, we pioneered advanced drone technology and were awarded the SAIW Gold Medal for excellence.
Today, we set new benchmarks in safety (2 million LTI-free hours), advanced technology, and significant investment in communities and skills.
